The first rains have started to fall and the cold is beginning to set in, meaning that winter woolies and heaters are reluctantly brought out. But there is also a positive side to the cold months ahead, particularly for passionate snowboarders, for whom the low temperatures are an exciting reminder that the time to hit the mountains is round the corner. During one of the Skiing seasons, I had a once in a lifetime experience paragliding over Livigno with Flavio. Fortunately I had my video camera with me, so now I can share the incredible views from above the rooftops.
As you can see on the video, I had my skis on and it's kind of a strange but exciting feeling just hanging there in mid-air, with just a controlled parachute and a couple of ropes.
Those who have already travelled with us will surely recognise many interesting sites, bars, pubs, hotels, slopes and the ice arena.

If you're thinking what is a snow groomer...
Snow grooming is the process to manipulate snow for recreational uses, usually using a snow groomer vehicle. This can be a tractor, truck or snowcat towing specialised equipment to move and manipulate snow. The process is used to maintain ski hills and snowmobile trails by grooming (moving, flattening and compacting) the snow on them.
Breath-taking views are impossible to miss in Livigno.
While we were skiing down the mountain, we could not resist to stop and admire the scenery around us.
At the bottom of the mountain we could see the whole of Livigno, and all those tiny houses, so far away. We started to realise how high we were at that point (even at almost half-way down the mountain).
It's also impossible not to notice the fresh clean air that we were breathing...
